    We are an EASA Part-147-approved training organisation for helicopter types EC135, EC145, BK 117 (models A/B/C1) and BO 105 and engines LTS101-750, RR250-C20B and PW206B. We offer courses for the categories B1 mechanical systems and B2 avionic systems. Our courses are run by experienced instructors. What sets us apart? We put great value on practical relevance, with each of our instructors holding extensive experience and history working on the helicopters or engines themselves.

    We are an EASA Part-147-approved training organisation for helicopter types EC135, EC145, BK 117 (models A/B/C1) and BO 105 and engines LTS101-750, RR250-C20B and PW206B. We offer courses for the categories B1 mechanical systems and B2 avionic systems. If you do not require an EASA Part-147 certificate, we can shorten and adjust the courses.  We are happy to advise you personally on this.

With over 40,000 missions each year, over 47 years’ flying experience and a fleet of over 50 helicopters, DRF Luftrettung is one of Europe’s largest and most-experienced air rescue organisations. Its in-house technical facility in its Operation Center at the Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden airport keeps DRF Luftrettung’s aircraft maintained for their missions, ensures their airworthiness and drives innovation in development operations.

It not only trains our own technicians, but also has a wide range of services on offer for external customers. We are happy to prepare you a tailor-made offer that considers your special desires.  

Over 20 years’ experience – direct practical relevance 

DRF Luftrettung uses its own teaching staff who have worked in its EASA Part-145 maintenance organisation for over 20 years. Consequently, our instructors possess extensive knowledge about each helicopter type and engine. Our training takes place directly at our Operation Center, which means that you can benefit from outstanding practical relevance.
