Training content
The aim of this course is to acquire an instructor license for the EC135 T3H helicopter type.
The training is divided into three phases:- Theoretical training in teaching and learning behavior (25 hours)
- Technical training (at least 10 hours)
- Flight training (min. 10 hours) in a mixture of real and simulator training
General requirements
Applicants for a TRI(H) certificate must
- be at least 18 years old
- be the holder of a CPL(H) or ATPL(H)
- be authorized to fly the corresponding helicopter type as PIC
- have (1) at least 15 hours of flight experience as a pilot on the relevant helicopter type, including a maximum of 7 hours in an FFS representing that helicopter type, or (2) have passed a TRI competency assessment
- for a TRI(H) certificate for multi-engine helicopters, have completed 500 hours as sole pilot, including 100 hours as PIC on single-pilot multi-engine helicopters
- for a TRI(H) certificate for multi-pilot helicopters, have completed 1 000 hours as a pilot on helicopters, including: (1) 350 hours as a pilot on multi-pilot helicopters; or (2) for applicants already holding a TRI(H) certificate for multi-engine helicopters as a single pilot, 100 hours as a pilot of that type in multi-pilot operations.
Note: Holders of an FI(H) certificate will be fully credited towards the requirements of paragraph e) in the relevant single-pilot helicopter, provided an ME SP license entry is held.

Training content

The training is divided into 3 phases:- Theoretical training in teaching and learning behavior (25 hours)
- Technical training (min. 10 hours)
- Flight training (min. 10 hours) in a mixture of real and simulator training
The training concludes with a competence assessment by an experienced examiner.
General requirements
Applicants for a TRI(H) certificate must
- be at least 18 years old
