Broad spectrum of air rescue operations

With a fleet of over 50 helicopters and more than 45 years of flight experience, DRF Luftrettung has a broad range of aviation expertise. Safety and state-of-the-art technology are our top priorities: not only are we the world's largest operator of the H145 in civil aviation, but we also put the first H145 with a five-blade rotor into service in Germany in March 2021. Crews are on standby around the clock at 14 of the 37 stations in Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein, and helicopters with rescue winches are used at eight locations.

Night flights, winch rescues, take-offs and landings in densely built-up areas and missions in rough and alpine terrain are all part of the wide range of missions. The DRF Luftrettung has the most flight hours in darkness of all civil air rescue operators in Europe. It has been a pioneer in the use of night vision goggles in particular for many years - throughout Germany and Europe. This concentrated expertise and extensive experience makes us the ideal training partner at your side!
