Flight and Winch Simulator

The Full Flight Simulator (FFS) for the Airbus H145/H135 at the LAT training center in Frankfurt offers optimal training conditions. The simulator, manufactured by Reiser Simulation and Training, is certified as Level D by EASA.

The FFS can replicate numerous realistic landing scenarios with dynamic objects in the landing area, as well as a variety of operational environments. These include, for example, scenarios at airfields, hospitals, landings on ships or oil platforms, or in confined terrain. Thanks to the high-resolution visuals and the additional capability to simulate flight procedures at night using night vision equipment, the FFS is ideally suited for training operators in the HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Services) sector.

The helicopter simulator also features an interchangeable cockpit, allowing accurate representation of both Airbus types, the H145 and H135. Additional value is provided by the innovative briefing station, which enables customized flight preparation and pre-configuration tailored to individual customer needs.

The REISER XR-SIM is a modern helicopter flight simulator featuring a functional H145 D3 cockpit and is qualified as a Flight Training Device (FTD) Level 3 in accordance with EASA CS-FSTD(H). The modular XR docking station enables a highly realistic simulation of the Airbus Helicopters H145 D3.

The simulator is suitable for, among other things:

• Type rating
• Recurrent and refresher training
• Emergency and malfunction procedures
• Instrument flight checks and renewals
• Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC)

The system is equipped with a state-of-the-art mixed reality system and accurately replicates the H145 D3 with avionics software version 10. An MCC certification is also planned, enabling specialized MCC training on the H145 platform.

Simulator hours (wet/dry) as well as complete training programs can now be booked.

High-end technology meets decades of experience in air rescue: with the HoistAR®, DRF Luftrettung operates one of the most advanced winch simulators worldwide. Since September 2023, in cooperation with Reiser Simulation and Training, it has been the first provider of a winch simulator for Airbus aircraft.

Key features include integration with the Reiser Full Flight Simulator Level D, mobile deployability, and motion functionality. The aim is to further enhance safety for crews and patients during winch operations.
